Description

Archduchess Sophie of Austria, better known as the mother Emperor Franz Joseph, was known even during her lifetime by the nickname “the only man at court”. Maria Theresia wasn’t the Empress of the Holy Roman Empire herself. She was merely the Queen of Bohemia, the Queen of Hungary and the Archduchess of Austria. She took care though of the business affairs of her Husband, Emperor Francis I. Stephen of Lorraine. He was more interested in natural sciences and concluding from the many extramarital affairs he had, he was obviously also quite interested into the analysis of the female body.

Amongst other things, on this tour you will find out who was known as the “red Archduchess” and with which lady crown prince Rudolf actually wanted to commit suicide with.
